For Brad & Curtis
America - that is, the US of - is a very fascinating country. But not easy to understand! One needs guidance. It needs a strong hand, discipline and lots, lots of good humor. It is tough. Not only for Germans, but for Canadians too.
I was lucky. There was a team out there. Brave. Patient.
And what a team they were! Curtis, the beer & loving Canadian. Brad, the spiritual vegetarian American with an environmental conscience.
Unfortunately by now they are too exhausted by so much co-work, they decided to look for different places to regain their power. It didn't work: Brad started to eat meat again and went out with girls, while Curtis missed out on booze & fun because he escaped into doing all this overtime at work.
I met the guys when Dave brought me along to the Wednesday Trivia Live at the Zydecco.
I joined the 3 Hosers team and even when the Trivia Live in its original version stopped,
we continued to keep up the hump day routine, the group even grew bigger and bigger...

Why the American style Barbie? Well, that goes unsaid. But why the Karaokee accessory? Oh, you never been to Laporte. That small little country bar, with a decor that is sooo 70's it would be high in fashion over here in Hamburg. One night, Summer, Brad, Curtis & I went there, one more drunk than the other (apart for the driver of course. Hey, who was driving anyway?) Summer didn't manage to force me into singing, which didn't stop her singing herself. Brad was even more incredible: when he sang "Armadillo by Morning" I was melting, lost in space and full of awe. I must have been so spaced out that Curtis even managed to trick me into dancing polka...
The Karaokee set is from a Barbie I got from Liz, the boots & pants came from my own Barbie clothes pool and the hat I bought especially for the award on a mexican market in L.A.
