For Moira
To me, an appointment with a hairdresser is worse than going to the dentist. Much worse. I rather walk around for weeks on end looking like a stray dog, than giving myself into the hands of a dangerous scissor operator. Anybody who ever experienced extreme tooth ache and the resulting visit at a dentist, or even better: a bad haircut, knows exactly what I mean and have been gone through.
Just to be on the safe side I went shortly before my departure to my magician Raymund back in Germany. Arriving in Fort Collins and miles away from New York, Paris or Lüneburg I felt lost. But not for long! Samar recommended her hairdresser - and I always go for recommendation, no matter how fancy the shop window of the cool stylist around the corner looks like.
That's how I ended up being a permanent client of the very best hairstylist of Fort Collins or the Front Range or even the whole States. I never ever regretted once to trust Moiras craft & imagination, and her braveness to face the oh so conservative or outdoor style grungy scene of the Larimer County. I have to thank her for talking me into letting my hair grow again. We had so much fun thinking up color schemes. She taught me to plug my eyebrows, an art I unfortunately have neglected since I'm back in Germany. Not only that, I enjoyed simply talking to her, listen to her soft spoken, incredible beautiful voice.
Even when I went back in April 2002 for a visit I made sure to have an appointment with Moira - for the rest of the year I enjoy Raymond's hair treatment again.
For being an completely underrated artist
Moira deserves the award for
Best Hairstylist
Why the 80's style Barbie? Anybody remember the 80's? Do I have to mention the decade of embarrassing hairstyles and who was responsible? What springs to mind? Lots of pink and pinapple blondes... right? And the Barbie clothes collection is a paradise for 80's fashion... don't ask me where I got that blow dryer from ;-)
Thank you, Moira!
