For Summer
My departure date got closer and closer. The nessecity of a proper Good Bye Party emerged. First, I didn't want to do anything. Then I was considering gathering my very closest friends only. The idea grew bigger and bigger and bigger, until I needed a place ten times the size of my cute little one bedroom apartment (that's a two bedroom one for you Germans, the Americans count different - for American standards I live on the 5th floor though, which sounds much cooler, I have to admit).
But as always rescue came completely unexpected.
Summer, without you, this whole crazy show would have been simply impossible.
Summer supplied us with her beautiful house, surrounded by huge meadows and the hills of Horse Tooth Reservoir, with a picturesk lake in front. No other house visible, but still so conveniently close to Fort Collins. With a backyard so perfect for a stage. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Not only that. Without her support & ideas I couldn't have made it. Not to mention her
big heart. I first met her at the first salt kiln firing at the ranch. A true party girl but
we enjoyed our silent moments just the same. And a great artist. She's also responsible
for the great curtain which now serves as a sun shed in my
study.
Therefor Summer deserves this very special award:
The Award for Best Host
Why the Mermaid? If you ever visited Summers house - it's packed with mermaids
from all over the world. First, I tried to make a mermaid costume for a regular
Barbie myself, but failed miserably. Then, back in April, when I was down in L.A., I came across
this beautiful "pre-made" mermaid (out of Reyna's lot, see Story for more details.) Who
else was it for but Summer?

Thank you, Summer!
