For Nina

Everybody has ups & downs. Some people more, some less. Unfortunately I'm in the "more" business, not that I have any reasons, but try to reason that to somebody who enjoys depression.

I was (and still am) fortunate. I had a partner in crime, which helped me so many times. I know we are a crowd out there, but Nina was the first. Being roomates for a while helped. Without Nina's support I wouldn't have survived many of the downs. I remember her reading Pratchett, on whom I got her hooked, not stopping giggling and laughing out loud. Since my office was bordering her room, I couldn't help joining in, not even knowing what she was laughing. Nina's laugh is a life saver, believe me, and she saved me many, many times.

In return, Nina got me hooked on Elf Quest, without feeling embarrassed (I didn't know there can me so much intercourse with multiple partners in the Mystery & Fantasy business, no wonder there are so many fans.) She introduced me into the world of gods & godesses, fairy queens & medieval creatures. But that doesn't even remotely reflects her own imagination, which overruns all those books about trolls & witches.

Therefor I bow & dedicate this award to Nina:
The Award for Best Imagination

Why the fairy? Because Nina deserves her own, opposed to all the commercial ones that are out there. I also wanted to make her full of life and blooming. I made the dress myself, the roses I found at Hobby Lobby. The top I cut out of an old ballerina dress, which unfortunately has the disadvantage of making the boobies looking like they obey gravity.

Thank you, Nina!

thank godness
